Crochet granny square






I have a beautiful granny square for you today and i am sure you will love it. 

This granny square is made with 2 colors and the texture is so lovely.

I made 2 of them with gray for baby boys or pink with gray for baby girls.

You can choose to make it with more then 2 colors. 

If you want to make a blanket with square you just join them togheter but you can also work a single granny square  repeating the rows until the length desire. 

So let's begin!

Material :

Acrylic yarn in 2 colors 

2.mm crochet hook 


Abbreviations :

Ch-chain 

Slst-slip stitch 

Sc-single crochet 

Tr-treble crochet 

Sts-stitches

St-stitch 

Row 1:

First color

Make a slipknot then chain 6,slst in to the first ch to form a ring. Ch 1(count as first sc) 11 sc in to the ring. Slst in to the first ch1. 

Row 2 :

Ch 4(count as first tr) 1 tr in the next 2 sts, ch 4,1 sc, 1 tr in the next 2 sts, ch 4,1 sc, ch 4, 1 tr in the next 2 sts, ch 4,1 tr in the next 2 sts, ch 4,1 slst in the first st. Ch 1,cut the yarn 

Row 3 :

Second color

Add the yarn in one of the ch 4

*Ch 4,1 tr in the next 2 sts, ch 4, 1 sc in the previous ch4, ch 4, 3 tr in the same previous ch 4,1 sc in the next ch4, reapet from* until the end. Slst in to the first st. Ch1 cut the yarn 

Row 4:

Add first color in any  of the ch 4

Reapeat rows 3.

Row 5:

Add the second color in  any of the ch 4

Reapeat rows 4.

Cut the yarn.

If you want join them piece by piece or work a single granny square over and over again until the length desire.
